Facilities Management & Logistics is responsible for performing or specifying performance of all Jefferson Lab facility maintenance, construction, security, property, and facility services.
Jefferson Lab's 221-acre campus includes 179 acres owned by the U.S. Department of Energy and 37 acres owned by the Southeast Universities Research Association (SURA). In addition, the Commonwealth of Virginia owns a 5-acre parcel that the DOE leases for use as in support of the Lab's mission. In total, the Lab has 71 DOE-owned buildings (1,010,744 square feet) and 4 leased buildings (72,366 square feet) in the real property portfolio.
