York County Sheriff's Office Training Exercise

From May 12-15, the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office (YPSO) and the Hampton Roads Criminal Justice Training Academy (HRCJTA) will conduct a law enforcement training exercise in the Applied Research Center (ARC). Signs will be placed at the exterior doors of the ARC indicating that the training is in progress. On the impacted floors, signs will be displayed at the entry doors warning individuals not to enter the area. The training exercise will be conducted under the direct supervision of YPSO and HRCJTA tactical instructors. Since the training exercise will be utilizing simulated ammunition rounds, all YPSO and HRCJTA firearm safety rules will be strictly followed.
